Custom Job

I wanted to share this rod on MN Driftless. It's a rod I did for a buddy for his (belated) birthday. Every time I do a new rod I work on an aspect of building where I've found I need improvement. This time I tried to improve the way I apply finish to the guides.
This is a 7' 9" three weight. A perfect little driftless stream rod! He's going to fish it on little New England freestone trout brooks. Of all the rods I've done this has turned out the cleanest. If anybody is interested in anything from a 6' 6" 2 weight all the way up to a 13' 6" spey rod hit me up through Whitewater Valley Flies
